AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, taken from II Timothy 2:15:
“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
The AWANA Club Ministry at Laurel Bluff Baptist Church is a Bible-based, Christ-centered program designed to help children grow in their knowledge of God and His Word. Our primary goal is to teach boys and girls the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to train them to faithfully serve Him.
Through scripture memory, biblical teaching, games, activities, and songs, children are encouraged to learn God’s Word in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. The ministry servants of Laurel Bluff Baptist Church consider it a great honor to serve the Lord in this way and to help lead children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
AWANA Club meets every Wednesday evening from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Each evening begins with a meal for our children and any parents who wish to join them. Our ministry follows the local school schedule and observes all school closures. AWANA Club pauses from mid-November through the beginning of school in January as our children prepare for the Laurel Bluff Christmas programs.
Our ministry servants strive to create a fun and exciting atmosphere where children can enjoy themselves while growing in their faith and understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ. AWANA Club is open to all children.
Registration is available online at the beginning of the school year or in person each Wednesday evening at the registration and check-in table located at the front entrance of the church.
We look forward to welcoming your family and seeing you at Laurel Bluff AWANA Club!
